I think that this picture describes the lives of the refugees, not only in that camp but also around the world. The holes in the shawl and the expression in the girls face describes a lot. Although, what is most famous about this picture is the color of the girls eyes. This picture has become very popular, because most people haven't heard of Afghanistan and through this picture, people have become curious about the country.
